Laxmi Agarwal is the artist behind Soul Arts by Laxmi, creating artworks that explore the emotional depth of life through the powerful relationship between light and shadow.
Her artistic philosophy is rooted in the belief that life, much like a canvas, cannot be understood through a single color or one emotion. Human experience moves between joy and sorrow, clarity and mystery, darkness and illumination. Laxmi brings this contrast into her work through the expressive use of black, white, and layered colors.
For her, white represents brightness, openness, and illumination, while black brings depth, intensity, and mystery. Together, they form the foundation of her creative language. She often begins her paintings with deep, dark undertones and gradually brings them into light, creating artworks that reflect transformation, inner strength, and emotional balance.
Laxmi’s journey began as a personal passion, but it became a deeper calling while working on a painting of Buddha. As she blended dark and light tones into the canvas, she felt a strong emotional connection with the work. That moment helped her realize that she was not simply painting an image, but expressing her own experiences, emotions, struggles, tears, and smiles through color.
